Associate Professor at the University of Santiago de Compostela, where she combines teaching with extensive doctoral training, having supervised more than ten Ph.D. theses. Her current research focuses on the development of organic materials with privileged architectures and functional properties.
She earned her Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Santiago de Compostela in 1994 under Dr. Luis Castedo Expósito and Dr. Antonio Mouriño Mosquera, followed by a postdoctoral stay at Columbia University under the supervision of Prof. W. Clark Still (1994-1995).
She later returned through a MEC reintegration program and has since built a long-standing academic career in organic chemistry at USC.
