Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH)
Full Professor of Organic Chemistry at ETH Zurich and an expert in peptide catalysis, peptide chemistry, and supramolecular synthesis.
Her research integrates peptide design with asymmetric catalysis for applications in biological chemistry and materials. She earned her Ph.D. from Columbia University in 1996 under W. Clark Still and completed postdoctoral work with Hisashi Yamamoto at Nagoya University. After serving as Bachem Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at the University of Basel, she joined ETH Zurich in 2011.
Her contributions span peptide-based catalysts, supramolecular assemblies, and chemical biology, earning awards such as the Ernesto Scoffone Prize (2022), Vincent du Vigneaud Award (2023), EuChemS Female Investigator Award (2025), and the Max Bergmann Medal (2025).
